Your mouth is kept moist by saliva.  Saliva has many purposes:

• Aids digestion
• Kills bacteria

• Helps teeth re-mineralise after an acid attack

• Helps retention of some dentures

There is more risk of your teeth decaying.  Your dentist can prescribe you toothpaste with more fluoride in called Duraphat (also available at reception).

We can also offer artificial salvias on prescription to help deal with the problem.
